Disclaimer

i-Confidence is a governance and documentation tool, not a legal advisor. The i-Confidence platform is designed to help organizations document, monitor and report internal usage of artificial intelligence in legal activities. It provides a structured mechanism for internal AI governance, record-keeping and compliance documentation. By using i-Confidence, users acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. 1. No legal advice

i-Confidence does not constitute legal advice. The platform, its reports, dashboards, recommendations and associated quarterly sessions are provided for informational and organizational purposes only. Users should consult qualified legal counsel for advice on specific legal matters, including interpretation and application of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), GDPR, or any other applicable law.

  2. 2. No guarantee of compliance

While i-Confidence is designed to support compliance efforts under the EU AI Act and related regulations, use of the platform does not, by itself, guarantee legal or regulatory compliance. Compliance remains the sole responsibility of the user organization and its designated officers. i-Confidence is a supporting tool — not a substitute for legal judgement, internal policies or regulatory assessments.

  3. 3. Accuracy of user-reported data

Reports, statistics and risk classifications generated by i-Confidence are based on information declared by users of the platform. i-Confidence does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness or truthfulness of user inputs. The value of the output depends on the discipline with which users complete their declarations.

  4. 4. No AI decision-making

i-Confidence does not make autonomous decisions, does not replace human oversight and does not operate as a "high-risk AI system" under the EU AI Act. The tool is a documentation layer — final decisions regarding AI usage, risk mitigation and organizational policy remain with the user organization.

  5. 5. Data protection

i-Confidence processes personal data in accordance with GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and its Privacy Policy. Data is hosted within the European Union. Users remain the data controllers for information they input into the platform. i-Confidence acts as a data processor under separate contractual terms (Data Processing Agreement).

  6. 6. Regulatory evolution

The regulatory framework for AI is evolving. Application dates, interpretations and supporting standards under the EU AI Act may change. i-Confidence updates its platform and reporting templates periodically but does not warrant that every regulatory development will be reflected in real-time. Users are responsible for monitoring applicable legal changes.

  7. 7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, i-Confidence and its providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of reputation, regulatory fines imposed on the user organization, or damages arising from decisions made based on platform outputs. Liability is further defined in the Services Agreement.

  8. 8. No attorney-client relationship

Use of i-Confidence, participation in quarterly sessions or receipt of reports does not create an attorney-client relationship between the user and i-Confidence or any of its representatives.
